Dirtyphonics
Drum & Bass / Dubstep
The Dirtyhonics group was formed in 2004, it was at that time made up of Charly, Thomas Debousvry and Pho. In 2008, Pitchin joined the group. Their influences include Daft Punk and Pendulum, also heavy metal bands such as Korn and Metallica; “most of us were in metal bands,” Charly recalls in an interview. They want to translate the energy of their metal period into electronic music: "Our sound has to be powerful, impactful and precise.
Since we started, we want to do something new, we love to push our limits". In 2008, the band signed with drum and bass producer Shimon’s label, AudioPorn Records. They released their first single that year: " Frenck F**k " which went to the top of the Beatport charts for several weeks. The twelve singles that followed will consolidate their meteoric rise to the top 10 of the Beatport charts. Their remixes also contributed greatly to their success, with remixes by famous artists such as Skrillex, The Bloody Beetroots, Benny Benassi, Excision, Borgore, Nero and Linkin Park.
