Coming from the world of Canoe-Kayak, I have participated in many international sporting events that have inspired me a lot. These events took the form of competitions, jams, festivals, road trips and gave me the feeling of being part of the great outdoor community.

In this family of riders, they call me Alex Jakette.

Despite a very festive temperament, an anti-fed punk image and a street artist background, I managed to win three world medals and the title of French champion six times.

Alongside my sporting career, I studied on campus in Grenoble to obtain my degree in ecotourism. This academic path proved to be particularly coherent with my professional future. I came out of it with deep convictions about outdoor tourism, the mountains of tomorrow and the latent potential of our territory.

In 2012 I gathered my network of passionate and very chauvinistic friends from the Haute Alps, from different worlds of outdoor sports, I proposed to join forces to organize a great weekend of sport and celebration, the Outdoormix Festival, which could show the world that our department is the best spot for all outdoor physical activities. I wanted our generation to force the repositioning and the tourist image of the department on the Outdoor. The association WeAreHautesAlpes was born.

For almost 10 years, I have been developing this #RideAndParty concept with my friends and associates Germain and Ugo, without having yet been able to distinguish among our trio which one was the good, the bad and the ugly. But for sure, it strikes!
